Lee appoints new creative director

Опубликовано

VF Corporation-owned denim brand Lee has named Michael Kampe as its new creative director. The graduate of Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts most recently served as head of design for Hugo Boss' menswear casual and athleisure, and womenswear business and casual denim divisions for around five years. Prior to this, the young designer was creative manager for denim at Scotch & Soda, having previously worked as a menswear designer at Diesel

Lee's Greensboro, North Carolina-based parent company VF Corporation recently announced its results for Q1 2019, reporting a 23% increase in revenue, pushed by Vans, The North Face and Timberland. The rise was also driven by the group's acquisition of three brands: Williamson-Dickie, Icebreaker and Altra. Lee, however, did not fare quite so well, posting a 1% drop in constant currencies during the period.
