L'Oréal Paris is set to launch Karl Lagerfeld makeup

L'Oréal Paris is launching a makeup series in collaboration with the house of Karl Lagerfeld.

The cosmetics giant had embarked upon a beauty collaboration with the iconic fashion designer before he passed away on February 19, according to a press release. The collection is set to launch this fall, going on sale online on September 20 before launching globally on September 27.

Details of the collection are being kept under wraps for now, but it will a nod to Lagerfeld's signature rock-chic aesthetic, and its campaign will feature some of Lagerfeld's well-known sayings.

German creative Lagerfeld was no stranger to collaborations, having partnered through his eponymous brand with names such as the influencer Olivia Palermo, the supermodel Kaia Gerber and the sportswear giant Puma, to name just a few.

L'Oréal Paris, meanwhile, has previously teamed up with the fashion designers Isabel Marant and Sabyasachi Mukherjee, as well as the house of Balmain.
