Luxury leather goods label Létrange was relaunched last March by Sébastien Létrange, a member of the French family company’s seventh generation, and will open its first Parisian store in November, at 332 rue Saint Honoré.

Since the relaunch, Létrange was available at the Haussmann branch of Paris department store Galeries Lafayette, and it is now set to open a 70-square-metre monobrand store on two levels too. The ground floor will be occupied by the store proper, with understated, minimalist interiors, while the first floor will be reserved to a VIP lounge.

The story of Létrange started nearly two centuries ago, when Auguste Lespiaut set up as a saddle maker close to the Palais du Louvre stables in Paris. His son-in-law, Armand Létrange succeeded him and broadened the range of products. During WW2, Henriette Létrange took charge of the business but, due to raw material sourcing difficulties, the company branched out into shirt-making and eventually closed down in 2007.

Sébastien Létrange recently raised €1 million from private investors to relaunch the family company, now focused on women's leather goods, with an uber-luxe handbag collection at prices starting from €2,450, designed by Creative Director Mathias Jaquemet.
